The National Commissioner of INEC in charge of Kogi, Plateau and Nasarawa states, Haruna Mohammed, on Thursday said the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise would run till 2019 general elections.
Muhammed who spoke during the flagged off ceremony of the exercise in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital urged all eligible voters in the state who are yet to be captured on the Commission’s register to do so in order not to be disenfranchised.
He said the CVR exercise which holds simultaneously across the 774 local government areas in the country.
According to him, the Commission has provided a team of four Registration Area Officers and a Distribution Officer at each registration point in the LGAs to handle the exercise.
He urged political parties and other stakeholders to encourage their supporters to come out for the presentation while those that are yet to collect their PVCs should equally do so.
