FG, CBN Provide Job Opportunities For Former N-Power Beneficiaries

The minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, revealed that Former beneficiaries of the N-Power scheme can now access job opportunities created for members of the scheme, which has been approved by the federal government.

Farouq, disclosed this at the 4th annual review of the Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), adding that this will start with an agent network in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The minister, clarified that the eligible beneficiaries are Batches A and B of the scheme, and announced that the N-Power job plan will see 200,000 beneficiaries employed as operators of the Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility (SANEF) scheme operated by CBN.

”Plans have been concluded for the transition of the N-power Batch A and B through the creation of the NEXIT portal, which would allow those who choose to sign up to access other government empowerment opportunities,” Farouq said.
