Ethiopian, Kenyan Athletes Win Access Bank Lagos City Marathon

Ethiopian and Kenyan Athletes emerged as winners of the Access bank Lagos City Marathon race.

Emmanuel Naibei from Kenya was the first athlete to cross the finish line, followed by Daresa Geleta and Demiso Legese from Ethiopia, who took the second and third place respectively.

For the female category, Meseret Dinke from Ethiopia took the first place, while the Kenyan Celestine Jepchirchir and Desta Nigist Muluneh from Ethiopia took the second and third position respectively.

His excellency the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was represented by His deputy governor Femi Hamzat, presented the awards and price to the winners.

The first, second and third position received the price of $30,000, $20,000 and $15,000 respectively.

Also, Istifanus Peter Mahan emerged as the first Nigerian to cross the finish line.
