Custom Nabs Suspect With 9.9kg Of Cocaine In Abuja

Nigerian Custom Service have arrested Mr. Maduabuchi Chenedu with 9.9kg of substance suspected to be cocaine at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to a statement by the Customs Area Controller, FCT AREA COMMAND, Comptroller, Nanbyen Patience Burromvyat, the suspect, who arrived from Brazil has been handed over to officials of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the International Airport Command.

The statement reads in part: “Today Wednesday, 24/11/2021 at about 12 30 hrs a passenger named Mr Maduabuchi Chenedu with passport number A11609294 was arrested by officer’s of the Nigerian customs service Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, arriving from Brazil via Adis Ababa with 444 wraps in 7 packs weight 9.9kg of white substance suspected to be cocaine .

“He was arrested and statement taken and subsequently handed over to officials of the National Drug law enforcement Agency,(NDLEA) Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport command.”
