Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu has been included as the representative of the House of Representatives on the Health Sector Reform Committee.
His inclusion was approved by President Muhammadu and was disclosed in a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, on Friday.
Sununu who has previously served as a past Secretary General of the Nigerian Medical Association, an Associate member of the World Medical Association, is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Healthcare Services.
The committee, chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was set up for a period of six months and will undertake a review of all healthcare reforms adopted in the past two decades and lessons learnt and factor them into the development of the new Health Sector Reform Programme.
Members of the committee were drawn from private and public sector health care management professionals, development partners, representatives from the National Assembly as well as the Nigeria Governors Forum, among others.
